  1. Posting Ads on Own Website (you need to be owner of Blog or Website)
  2. Affiliate Marketing is all about sending people or users to vendor’s website through a unique URL (track user activity of purchasing a product or service).
  3. When there is sell at vendor’s website, you earn commission.
  4. This can be done through your relation with vendor or you can choose an Affiliate Network.
  5. Now, what is Affiliate Network? It is connecting link between advertisement publishers (web/blog owner) and Vendors
  6. Affiliate network offer vendor’s ads and allows you to participate in various ad programs which are suitable for your website/Blog.
  7. Through these ads, your visitor/user is taken to vendor’s website by a click, if visitor does purchase, signup for service or registers, vendor offers a share of revenue.
  8. Here there are various share models such as fee-per-action, through which publisher earns commission.
  9. In these share models affiliate conversion rates may vary between 0.25%-3% that means if you send 1000 visitors only 2-3 peoples may buy the product or service. So try to send as many as visitors to vendor’s website.
  10. Now, one question arises, how to set up your online marketing strategy, through ad banner or writing an article on website or blog?

Step I

 Niche finding: How to find right product/service to promote?
  1. Initially, we will make an inventory for searching suitable Niche or Topic of Interest, which will promote the products accordingly.
  2. Finding effective Niche is a key for successful affiliate marketing. During this you should be able to pick up most lucrative products to promote in your niche. 
  3. It is really difficult to choose one! To find profitable niche, we will begin our research through already existing freely available database at ClickBank.
  4. It begins right here:

I) Signup at ClickBank, it’s free!
  1. After email confirmation and small survey, Sign into your account and browse to Market Place (http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm)
  2. Here, on the left hand side of the screen there is a list of broad categories, from this we are going to select a Niche of our interest.
  3. Select a category of your interest, we will select ‘Employment & Jobs’, always try to select the niche to which you have closer affinity, where you have inherent knowledge that could help you in creating content and promoting your site.
  4. Then select the sub-category, this will narrow down your search and allow to select product of particular interest let’s select ‘Job Listings’.


II) Filter according to Gravity score
On the right hand side at the top you can see filters attribute, here in gravity we have adjusted the attribute or score minimum at 5 and maximum to 25.



What does Gravity defines?
Here, Gravity is score of affiliates who earned commission by promoting the vendor's products during the past 12 weeks. It also depends upon the transactions, where most recent transactions are given higher values. (For more information read at: http://www.cbgraph.com/articles/clickbank-gravity.html).
  1. How to use Gravity Score for Finding Lucrative Niche?
  2. Do not promote products with gravity less than "5". Such gravity tells us there are only few affiliates who have sold this product. It signals us that either the product's sales page doesn't work well or too few affiliates have tried to promote this product.
  3. Promote new products between 5 to 20 gravity score (Check activation date). These products are considered as new ones with successful sales range and would become very popular soon (They may give good returns).
  4. Most appropriate products to promote are between 20 to 100 gravity. Make sure that these product are successfully sold, as many of them do not provide refund.
  5. Do not promote products with gravity more than 100. Unless you have suitable landing page catching subscribers to make these products purchase. You must be ready to spend lot of money on Page-Per-Click (PPC) experiment.
  6. After setting gravity score, the results will be populated, here there must be at least 5 products in the gravity range from 5 to 25.
  7. In the list, I have found ‘Homejobstop’ that is work from home jobs, to know more about sales and subscription visit ‘vendors spotlight page’ to promote the product select ‘Promote’ and proceed further. (Know more: click on myStats)
  8. That’s it, we have found suitable Niche of our interest and will be promoting products and services related to home job.
  9. Now question arises, in this niche of Home jobs, how can we attract visitors/users? And that is through finding what users needs or searches on such kind of websites or blogs. To find out users keywords, we need to do some keyword research, this will let us know what keywords should we used for determining our web address and construction of web content.

Step II

 We have product now, how to attract visitors?
  1. In order to find out what users or visitors need in our Niche we should know their search keywords. We will find recent trends in our niche through “Google Trends”
  2. Here you can see recent trend in trending now section and rest are search criteria’s. Now, we have to explore trends of our choice so, in search we will be typing “Work from home” then hit to go for search.
  3. We will get our keyword statistics, now randomly add different keywords to compare items as I have done below…
  4. From above stats it is clear that “online jobs” keyword is having higher interest rate than other keywords.
  5. Scroll down you will find related search keywords having highest percentage, below this we can find related regional search details.






 In regional search interest, India stands first for searching the keyword “home jobs”.

 Also, note down all the keywords displayed above in related search results. We will need those for finding more keyword ideas, using “Google Adword Keyword Planner” that would reveal:
  1. User keywords used for searching their content of interest.   
  2. Keywords used by Ad marketers for promoting their product.
  3. For construction of ads and content of your website
  1. Keyword Planner is explicitly designed for ad promoters where they can build new search network campaigns or can expand existing ones, here they choose more competitive bids and budgets to use with their ad campaigns.
  2. Now, we will get familiar with it’s over all working ability; the free AdWords tool, Keyword Planner is like a workshop that gives you search volume statistics and traffic forecast  for list of keywords. 
  3. This would help you to analyze how popular those keywords are, search for their popularity according to seasonal trends (e.g. in which season those work), compare default date range or customize it (yearly or monthly) and find more specific keywords by targeting location, language and network settings.
  4. Generally these kinds of tools are nowhere available for free to webmasters or bloggers, but we are using it freely for our relevance that was designed by Google AdWords merely for ad promoters, as they are their investors.
  5. As it provides keyword ideas and traffic forecast; this would benefit us for search engine optimization, determine keywords for webpage content and accordingly we can design ads for promotion on our website. 


Let’s begin with keyword planner:
  1. Login at Google AdWord Keyword Planner using Gmail login details.
  2. In Welcome page, enter your email, time zone, country and currency. You won't be able to change these settings later, so choose carefully.
  3. Next, on the home page menu bar click on Tools menu.
  4. You will be taken to ‘Keyword planners: plan your next search campaign’ webpage.
  5. Select ‘Search for new keyword and ad group ideas’
  6. Now, complete the wizard: 
    • Keywords: We have entered keywords that were listed in Google Trends results in related searches section.
    • Product Category: Jobs & Education Jobs & Career  Job Listings
    • Date range: Show average monthly searches compared with last year
  7. Just hit ‘Get ideas’ and the list of Adgroup with chart comparing last year results is displayed.
  8. Here, you can analyze data in form of charts according to different criteria like trends, by device, by location and lot more.







9. Below the stats chart as seen above, there is an inventory of keywords grouped according their relevance  that have been mostly used by search engines, also these keywords can be considered as most relevant as they are used by adgroups for advertising their product.

10. This tool compares result with that of previous year searches. Here, we can figure out how much percent change has been taken place their search. 

11. The keywords that are having higher searches and increased percent change can be considered as appropriate.

12. Another tab towards ‘Adgroup’ is ‘Keyword ideas’, here keywords are arranged according to terms and relevance. Those are considered appropriate that are following higher search and increased percent change criteria.

 

13. Now, according to your niche, you are having most appropriate and relevant keywords in your hand that can be used for: constructing website or blog, search engine optimization and design ads for promoting affiliates product on your website.

Setting up your Own Website or Blog!

How to?
  1. Setting up your own website or blog takes much less time, but if you want to attract visitors to make them read, you need to spend more time than that on it.
  2. Comparatively setting up blog takes few minutes than website, this can be done using some of the popular free services like Wordpress, Google blogger, Weebly, blog.com etc.
  3. With these blogging services their name comes along with your blog name, if you don’t want them then set up your own website.
  4. Website setup can be done using Wordpress, setting up Wordpress website is easy as there are lot of tutorials and videos out there, just Google it!
  5. Write some great content regarding the Niche selected, in background you can add affiliate product possessing link to vendors website. Post 1000-2000 word articles about it 2-5 times a week. The traffic will come, but it will take some time (weeks, months). If you can get sales coming in from free traffic you’ll have some cash
  6. Really speaking affiliate marketing is the most powerful and effective way of Online Money Making, it needs hard work, writing skills and patience (Until you get a thorough idea)
